BSGR Members' Lineages (1983 - 2003)

The Board of Directors of the Blair Society for Genealogical Research feel that this book should be of significant interest to all Blair researchers, whether a member of the BSGR or not, who will want to refer to this anthology on the genealogies of the Family of Blair in the course of their studies. It contains research data and family histories never before assembled under one cover. We sincerely feel this publication will represent the crowning accomplishment of the first twenty years of the BSGR and an excellent start to the next twenty years.

This publication is a handsome, hardcover book compiled by Charlotte Blair Stewart (BSGR Genealogist). It contains the most recent extensions and/or revisions of the lineages of all BSGR members (about 1100 strong, past and present), with a geographical place index and an every name index in 598 pages (8 1/2 x 11 format). All member lineages are grouped by their earliest known Blair ancestor and each group includes a biography of the earliest known ancestor of each of the 368 separate Blair family lines represented in the book. These biographies vary from one or two lines to entire pages, depending on the data submitted.

Because it is part of our mission at the BSGR, it is very important to us to making just this type of Blair information available to a broad cross-section of Blair researchers.
